In August 2014, the Shenandoah Education Foundation presented the 2014 Shenandoah County Public Schools Teacher of the Year, Tara Mason, with $2,500 to be used to benefit the students in her classroom. This is the third year that the Foundation has awarded this amount to the Teacher of the Year. It is the intent of the Foundation to continue to provide this award on an annual basis.
In 2015, the Teacher of the Year presentation will be incorporated into the SCPS “Celebrating Our Successes” event to be held on Tuesday, May 5. Location and details to be published at a later date.
