Shenandoah Education Foundation Programs

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (DPIL) ships a free, age-appropriate book to children ages 0-5 every month. The Shenandoah Education Foundation serves as the financial agent for the local chapter of DPIL. 

The SEF provides a $2,500 grant to the SCPS Annual Teacher of the Year. Since 2012, we have awarded $30,000 in recognition of our dedicated educators here in Shenandoah County!

The SEF provides funds to the middle and high schools in Shenandoah County to repair and replace musical instruments. To date, we have contributed close to $35,000 to music programs in the county.

Recently, the SEF has added scholarships for students who plan to pursue a career in education. A $1,000 scholarship is awarded to one graduating senior at each of the high schools each year.
